What is an imedpen® Microneedling Treatment?

An imedpen Microneedling Treatment is an advanced skin therapy that uses a state-of-the-art, automated microneedling device designed to rejuvenate the skin by stimulating its natural healing processes. This minimally invasive treatment involves the use of tiny, sterile needles.

What to expect during an imedpen® Treatment Session

A typical imedpen Microneedling session lasts about 30-60 minutes, depending on the area being treated. Post-treatment, the skin may appear slightly red, similar to a mild sunburn, but this usually subsides within a few hours to a couple of days.

Treatment Steps & Safety

STEP 1

Consultation

Before beginning a treatment,
clients undergo an initial consultation with a trained practitioner. During this session, the client’s skin type, concerns, and goals are assessed to determine if an imedpen® Treatment is suitable for them. 

STEP 2

Cleansing

After determining that an imedpen
treatment is suitable, the practitioner starts by thoroughly cleansing the skin to remove any makeup, oils, or impurities.

STEP 3

Microneedling

After cleansing, the practitioner uses the imedpen x device to gently glide over the treatment area, creating micro-injuries in the skin. The depth and intensity are adjusted according to the client’s skin type and targeted concerns.

STEP 4

Application of Serums

During or immediately after the microneedling process, imedpen® GLIDE or other specialised serum is applied. The micro-channels created by the imedpen allow these active ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin.

STEP 5

Soothing & Aftercare

A soothing mask or serum may be applied post-treatment to calm the skin and reduce redness.

STEP 6

Sun Protection

As microneedling makes the skin more sensitive to sunlight, a high SPF sunscreen is applied as the final step to protect the skin from UV damage. It’s crucial that clients continue using SPF daily for at least two weeks following the treatment.
